Posted by: kestokas@gmail.com (KESTUTIS RUTAVICIUS) - Tue, 31 Jul 2018 17:24:25 EDT
Hello. I've database with locale en_US.8859-13. I try to use informix client

sdk(or "ConnectTest Demo" application) to query database. If I choose

DB_LOCALE as en_US.8859-13, I get error:

ERROR [HY000] [Informix .NET provider][Informix]Unable to load locale

categories.

According to this page:

https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/community/blogs/idsteam/entry/common_gls_errors?lang=en_us

I need file e02e.lco located at %INFORMIXDIR%\gls\lc11, but i couldn't find

this file anywhere. I've installed Informix client with all languages. Does

anybody know where to find this locale conversion files ?

If you don't want anything really clever then just output the report to

txt2pdf (assuming Linux).

1) Output a file in PCL format from 4GL which can include escape sequences to

control graphics.

2) Convert PCL to PDF using the respected open source tool from

www.ghostscript.com.

I4GL
Posted by: lkotur@yahoo.com (LARRY KOTUR) - Thu, 26 Jan 2017 08:58:36 EST
First my issue: We have a source code library directory with many 4gls that

are compiled into other source code to create executable files. One library

program is compiled into about 95 executable programs and every once in a

while the lib program write to error.log with an SQL error -201. This library

function when called and is passed several values from the calling function

and the error appears to be generated by erroneous data.

Question: is there a method to identify the calling function that is passing

the bad data?

Thanks,

Larry Kotur

Re: CLOB TO LVARCHAR

You could keep the data in a CLOB and use the Basic Text Search (BTS)

datablade to index and search the CLOB.

If you still want to do the conversion the best way may be to export and

import into a new table with the lvarchar.
