EXECUTE PROCEDURE sqlj.install_jar problem

Posted By: COLIN MCGRATH
Date: Thursday, 6 September 2012, at 2:37 p.m.

dbaccess hangs when I try EXECUTE PROCEDURE sqlj.install_jar

Running ids 11.70 Innovator-C edition on AIX 6.1
DB-Access Version 11.70.FC4IE
SHMBASE set to 0x700000010000000, as per machine notes when using J/Foundation

My test java file:
public class HelloWorld {
public static String getHelloWorld() {

return "Hello, world...";
}
}

Compilation works:
rm *.class
javac HelloWorld.java

Building a JAR file works:
rm hw.jar
jar cvf hw.jar HelloWorld.class

But when trying to install the JAR file and create corresponding function, dbaccess hangs at the EXECUTE PROCEDURE statement:

BEGIN WORK;
EXECUTE PROCEDURE sqlj.install_jar

'hw_jar', 0);

CREATE FUNCTION getHelloWorld()
RETURNS CHAR(50)

GRANT EXECUTE ON FUNCTION getHelloWorld() TO ALL;

COMMIT WORK;
