ODBC driver 4.10.00.15918

I upgraded to IDS 12.10.TC5IE (from TC4) the other day (on windows server 2008R2).
Then I found a showstopper.
In WinSql a query would run fine but the next query on the same connection would never finish and the program would not quit. I had to kill the program with pskill.
I repeated this dozens of times with the same result – infinite response time.
Note that dbaccess has no problems but it does not use odbc as far as I know.

I wrote Synametrics support, thinking they needed to change their code somehow to support the new Informix driver. They requested an sql trace, which I provided.
The second query failed as usual and I stopped the trace.
I sent them the log. Their reply was this:
“Every method in ODBC API has an ENTER and an EXIT. These ENTER/EXIT line indicate the entry and exit point. For example if it takes 200 milliseconds in between the two lines, that is the amount of time program was running inside the ODBC driver. Once EXIT is issued, the control goes back to the calling application, which is WinSQL in this case.

If you see the last line of the log, you will see an ENTER for SQLExecDirectW method but no exit. This indicates the controls is getting stuck inside the ODBC driver and WinSQL just waits for it to return.

Send this log to IBM support and they should be able to reproduce this problem on their end. .”

I don’t know how to contact IBM support and this IE version probably has no support.
Is anyone having any problems with the new ODBC driver 4.10.00.15918 ?

How do I get the old odbc driver back?
