Ok, one last message about IIUG2017 until the conf

We are just over 2 weeks away and I wanted to post one last message about
the IIUG2017 conference.

If this is annoying, I apologize. I'm passionate about Informix and the
conference and I want everyone to attend. Please just ignore if this bothers
you and go back to your regularly scheduled programing of reassigning chunks
and network optimizations. J

The Keynote will be very interesting this year (aren't they always ;).
Interesting enough that you'd really like to listen to them at 8 am. John
Cohn is an intriguing speaker, and you should check him out. We are bringing
our tie-died shirts for this one.

We've got 3 full days of 5 simultaneous tracks ranging from oldies, but
goodies like performance tuning, roadmaps and Informix administration to hot
new topics like machine learning, Watson and JSON. There is something for
everyone. Even you, the person reading this right now!

If you've been to an IIUG conference before, you know the food is the best
you've ever had at an event. We don't serve no box lunches. Hot BLD,
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner every day. For the evening events, you can
forget about drink tickets. There is no 2 drink maximum at IIUG2017. All you
can handle, bro. #drinkresponsibly

Raleigh is a cool city and we are right in the heart of downtown. After a
long day of conferencing, you can take the free R Line bus around the city
loop and explore all that the city has to offer and there is a lot to do.
Get the DTRaleigh app to see, in real time, where the bus is. and where it
is going. Spoiler alert, it runs on a loop. It is going to where it picks
you up, eventually.

I'll be there, so there is that. Probably not worth much. I hear Al Martin
is coming, is that better? That's the VP of Data Analytics Development
people! He likes cheerleaders and Informix, or so Stuart tells me (he has
pics).

We got young'uns coming. IBM has reached out to colleges in the area and has
invited their students to attend and learn all about Informix. We must
corrupt them. Nah, we will just sacrifice them on the altar of youth and
harness their energy. NO! THAT'S WRONG TOO! We will throw fancy buzzwords at
them like IoT and TimeSeries and Blockchain and get them interested in data
management. Yes. Yes, that's it. That's what we'll do. #GetOutMovie.

Thursday is Tutorials and we have both kinds! Half day and full day. You get
to pick and they are included with a paid registration.
