Colin,

I understand your point. Normally a logical person would not create
things that Informix does not understand.
However some of us are at the mercy of application providers such as
SAP.
In this case the person (I don't have the original mail) is trying to
export an SAP database.

My question/comments to the person who originally submitted this ....
1) sending mail to sapmix instead of /in addition to ids might get you a
better answer. sapmix is supported by the IIUG.
2) check OSS notes or open an OSS ticket. I suspect, like HPloader,
dbexport might not be supported by SAP. Our DB is too big to even try
it.
