Limit of Current Stack i.e curstk

Hello,
Can anybody guide me about Current Stack variable. What does it do actually?
In the below mentioned output you can see that the value of curstk is -1599039121 which I guess is around 1.5GB. Is there any limit on the value of 'curstk' and why is it showing negative?
