A couple of things to note:

1. This is not an uncommon experience when moving from 7.31 to 11.50=
.=A0 I

have a client with a similar problem, however, by working on the

quality of the stats, adding a missing index, and optimizing the

queries, I've generally gotten better performance out of 11.50.=A0=

About the "quality" of the stats.=A0 If the tables have many rows, and
especially if several of the tables have similar numbers of rows, the
default resolution of the MEDIUM and HIGH stats may not be sufficient f=
or
the optimizer.=A0 You may have to increase the number of buckets in the=

MEDIUM and HIGH stats using the RESOLUTION clause if the number of uniq=
ue
key values for a column is large or if many keys are more numerous than=

other but not so much so as to move that value in to an overflow bucket=
.
You can also use the SAMPLING SIZE option to increase the number of row=
s
sampled to generate the MEDIUM stats.=A0 By default the maximum number =
of
rows sampled is rather small, so for larger tables this may help.
