Hi,

This restriction of lvarchar references across databases on same server=
has
been removed in IDS Version 10.

One possible work around for lower versions would be to create another
table on the source database using char instead of lvarchar type.
Subsequently use this new table for cross-database insert.

database RRADMINDB;
create table newemMessageTemplates(messagetext char(sizeoflvarcharcolum=
n));
insert into newemMessageTemplates
select messagetext from emMessageTemplates;

database RRRPDB;
insert into emMessageTemplates (messagetext)
select TRIM(messagetext) from RRADMINDB:newemMessageTemplates;

Hi,

I have two database RRADMINDB and RRRPDB, both have table
"emMessageTemplates" which includes a LVARCHAR column - "messagetext". =
What
I want is to copy the value of this column from
RRADMINDB:emMessageTemplates to RRRPDB:emMessageTemplates. In database
RRRPDB, below SQL doesn't work:
insert into emMessageTemplates (messagetext)
select messagetext from RRADMINDB:emMessageTemplates;
Error is : "SQL Error (-999): Not implemented yet.".

How can I walk around this error?
